[011]    prints    2026 SEPT
finally using my canon printer again. printed a hand full of pics from the past year or so. some from film, some digital. a couple of pics from the most recent australia trip got printed too, it’s nice. it’s fun printing and seeing pictures in a different medium other than a screen. printing helps me think creatively and see similar themes, colors, shapes, etc in perspectives that i wouldn’t have been able to see if it was all through a screen. the process of printing is cool too. watching the picture get printed and holding is a good feeling. it makes the photos feel more legit. it feels like the reality of printing and seeing my work physically is actually affordable and attainable. it helps me not get distracted from what i don’t have (money, space, latest gear, time etc). im more focused on what will motivate me to be more creative. like colors might not always be 1:1 from my edits, size is limited to 4x6, printing speed is limited, etc but it’s all good enough in the bigger picture. all these limitations push me to keep producing genuine, quality work even if its just a hobby for now. i get to learn about photography and myself which is always fun.
